哥哥，说的话多了，且养养精神者。福童孩儿，趁我精细，再嘱付你几句：我死之后，你若长大，休做吏典，只务农业是本等。
三四句由战乱推出怀念诸弟，自伤流落的情思。“风尘”指安史之乱导致的连年战火。杜甫四弟：颖、观、丰、占。只杜占随他入蜀，其他三弟都散居各地。此时“一身遥”客西蜀，如在天之一涯。诗人怀念家国，不禁“涕泪”横流。真情实感尽皆吐露不由人不感动。
辋川图上看春暮，
忆得前时吟最苦，自携残烛拂蛛丝。
按通常作法，后二句似应归结到惜别之情。但诗人却将眼前情景推开，“忆君遥在潇湘月”（“潇湘月”：一作“湘江上”），以“忆”字勾勒，从对面生情，为行人虚构了一个境界：在不久的将来，朋友夜泊在潇湘（潇水在零陵县与湘水会合，称潇湘）之上，那时风散雨收，一轮孤月高照，环境如此凄清，行人恐难成眠吧。即使他暂时入梦，两岸猿啼也会一声一声闯入梦境，令他睡不安恬，因而在梦中也摆不脱愁绪。诗人从视（月光）听（猿声）两个方面刻画出一个典型的旅夜孤寂的环境。月夜泊舟已是幻景，梦中听猿，更是幻中有幻。所以诗境颇具几分朦胧之美，有助于表现惆(...)
